Hi folks Smile

I have to say that the only thing that has helped me with my social anxiety and panic attacks is zinc. 30 mg is enough for me.

However, something I have experienced with zinc is that I have had lower sex drive while on. It's embarrassing but it feels strange downstairs.

I have come to the conclusion that it may be because:

1. Zinc reduces adrenaline responsible for arousal

2. Zinc reduces Dht which is potent testosterone for the man

3. Zinc lowers copper. Copper is responsible for dopamine = sex drive

4. Zinc increases Gaba wich suppresses dopamine?

5. Zinc is an NMDA ntagonist?

Can anyone come up with suggestions on how I can prevent this without giving up on zinc? It is the ONLY thing that has helped with everything.

Hello, Fred

you may experiment with l-histidine (supplying some zinc at another time of the day) from nutrabio or bulksupplements

obviously people report opposing results on libido and anxiety with zinc

Hmm thanks for the studies Kpavel, but I still don't understand why would zinc lower libido.
I will try taking histidine and see if it makes any difference.
